Good design relates the inside to the outside seamlessly, creating views and maximizing vistas for all seasons. Good design is clean and not overworked.
Gardens are works in progress; they are constantly evolving. Nature is ever-changing.
About Katie Brown
Katie has a background in art history. She received a BA from Smith College and worked in the Education Department of the Metropolitan Museum. In the 80s, she received a Certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Gardens and has been designing mainly private landscapes in Westchester and Fairfield counties ever since.

Greenwich Sentinel
The Greenwich Education Center's 2015 Garden Tour event featured 5 breathtaking gardens, including Katie's Byram shoreline project. The project features many indigenous plants, and an original piece of Penn Station incorporated into the grounds.
Cottages & Gardens
Featured in May 2013's issue of Cottages & Gardens, Katie took on a number of challenges, including tricky topography and a serious lack of water, to create a gem in the backcountry of Greenwich, CT.
